Catie's Blessing Day

My Dad blessed Catie on Sunday, January 20th. We did it at our home as we had done with Bekka and Abbi. Catie's dress was made by a friend of mine, and her Grandma Meier (aka, Travis's Mom, Joyce) made her the beautiful sweater and blanket, all of which have alot of sentimental meaning for me, and I know it will for Catie as well!

Christmas Day...

I know I have had a case of "BLOG NEGLECT" which has been common with some of my friends & family's blogs as well. With the Holiday's finally over, trying to get back to some normalcy, I am guilty I admit it! Here are some pictures from Christmas Day!!! :)

Our day began early!!! :) I think we woke up Bekka at 6:00 (may have been earlier) because we couldn't wait! We bought her a play house from Travis and I and Travis had the hardest time waiting until she woke up on her own. I think we were finished opening up gifts by 7:30. Some of my neighbors came over after we were done opening presents for omletes, a tradition started by my Dad! My parents came by as did my sister Stacey and her husband Josh. All in all, it was a pretty quiet and relaxing day. I always hate it though when the holiday's are over, just because I miss the spirit of the season. From October til New Year's Eve is my most favorite time of year! I hate taking down my tree, if it were up to me and I knew that Travis wouldn't have something to say every day about it, I would leave it up year round!!! LOL.

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve

Well tomorrow is Christmas Eve and we have to take Maggie to the Vet to get her checked out and possibly get some shots. Then tomorrow evening we will be headed to my Mom & Dad's house for our annual Christmas Eve pizza and open our Christmas PJ's. I am going to take the gifts from the girls to have them give to thier cousins and then we will head home. We have been letting Bekka open up a Christmas/Winter book every night for the last 10 days and she only has 2 left, one for tonight and one for tomorrow night. Tomorrow nights is 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. Then it will be off to bed for the kiddo's so that Santa can come and visit our home.

This is our 2nd Christmas without Abbigale and for some reason this year seems so much harder for me and I am not sure why. I miss my little girl and I hope she knows how much we love and miss her! I miss those mornings when she would sit in my lap and snuggle. Depending on how busy traffic is and such tomorrow, I want to stop and get some red & green balloons to release in our front yard to wish her a Merry Christmas.

Our New Puppy!!!

We picked her up on Wednesday at the airport (she flew in from Wisconsin). Up until Friday evening she didn't have a name and now she is known as Maggie or Mags for short. She looks alot like Sammy and we are really enjoying her. She is alot more work than Catie is because we are having to train her to let us know when she needs to go potty and we have to take her outside alot. She is about 14 wks old now (not much older than Catie). I will post some pictures of her this afternoon after I take some outside!

Catie's 2 Month Appt

Catie had her 2 month appt on Friday and had to get shots. She now weighs in at 11 lbs 4 oz and is growing right on track! After her shots, she did have a low grade fever that wasn't to bad and we controlled it with Infant Tylenol.

I also received back her 1 month pictures and will post them once I can find my scanner downstairs in the basement. I had her 2 month pictures taken some of them with Bekka last week also and I will get those back on January 4th. Hopefully by then I will have my scanner up and running to be able to post them!

Breakfast with Santa

For the last few years at my Mom's office, they have breakfast with Santa and I get to go and take the pictures of all of the children sitting on Santa's lap. It is alot of fun. Here are some pics of the girls with Santa! :)

Bekka's First Christmas Concert @ School

Bekka sang at her first Christmas Concert on Friday the 14th of December and did a great job! We are so proud of her. She is really growing up so fast. Her favorite Christmas song that they sang was Little Drummer Boy.
